I stayed in the IbisMoussafir Marrakech in November 2006.
The IbisMoussafir is very conveniently located in Marrakech, especially for onward travellers. It is sited on the West of town between the Airport and the old town, next to the Train Station.
Arriving at the hotel from the airport is simple (and relatively cheap). It costs 50-60 dirham per person (16 dirham=£1) to get a taxi to the hotel from the airport. The taxi will be your old fiat uno/peugeot 206 that you thought was scrapped in the 1990's somehow brought back to life, painted yellowy/brown and looking like it should be in a banger race. There is a board of standard taxi fares as you leave terminal 1,check it as they will attempt to charge you more if you dont know the correct fare.

We were quoted £49 ...

Advantages: Good location, not too noisy, good value if on offer Disadvantages: Slow check in
Although I am usually to be heard extolling the virtues of hostels and small private hotels, I have of late found myself increasingly turning to Accor hotels. Admittedly I do look at their cheaper chains first but I have managed to get myself some reasonable rates at some of their mid-priced hotels too. The same rooms can be available at several different rates and differ according to certain conditions. You?ll get the best rate if you are prepared to pay fully in advance and risk losing your payment if you cancel.
This is how we managed to pay a, not unreasonable, rate of £63 for a double room at Ibis Euston on a Saturday in late November. The standard rate advertised outside the hotel is £129 so this represents a good saving.
Although we were traveling into and out of Kings Cross we were happy enough to stay at Euston as ...
