Advantages: special flair, not a lot of time neccessary Disadvantages: ~
...With the football WM coming up and taking place in some nice parts of Germany I thought I could introduce you a bit of Nuremberg. And that there is more to see than just the games. Since I don't live far of from there, I thought I can tell you best!
Ciao has in the chapter of Nuremberg different attractions I know and can talk about.
The first one I do is about the Handwerkerhof (trademen's court). It is a lovely little place, where I always show our visitors around. Since the place is not very big, my review seems to be quite short as well.
A BIT OF HISTORY...
Nuremberg has a castle, which was built in the 12th century. It has a large city wall, with most of it still being there. Close to the main train station you will find the King's Gate and next to it a little court. This used to be the gun park, but 1971 it was open...

Advantages: nice atmosphere, clean Disadvantages: not enough short stay parking spots

Because of its small size you do not need to check in hours before your departure. Sometimes it is sufficient if you turn up at the airport just 30 minutes before your flight. (That depends on the airline though.)
It has three flights to London-Stansted daily. They are operated by Eurowings (in co-operation with Lufthansa).
Even though the airport is relatively small it has everything one might need. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly, and it is very clean.
The only thing that could be improved are the short stay parking spots right in front...

Advantages: If you need to be in the centre or Reading it's there Disadvantages: You'll need patience and persistence to find it

I really did wonder what I'd done to offend our secretary and get booked in this one. I'm sure I didn't forget her birthday, raid the stationery cupboard or commit any other serious secretary-annoying offences. If there's one thing guaranteed to put a damper on my day it's that little four-letter word on a hotel booking confirmation. In my hotel-dictionary, the definition next to the word Ibis says 'nasty penny pinching crappy hotel'.
Location
My first challenge was finding the hotel. When I saw it was near the railway station I was suspicious that parking might be a problem so I rang ahead to check whether they had a car park and, as feared, the answer was no...
