Everyone has heard of Ibis hotels, but not many people are aware that they serve other countries worldwide, such as France.
IbisParis Roissey Charles de Gaulle Paris is a modern 4-storey building which was built with tourists in mind in the 1980s.
This hotel is perfect for any occasion, whether you're staying the night before/after your flight, or looking for somewhere to stop-over to visit Paris city centre! Situated 2.5km from the CDG airport, this 304 room hotel is perfect for families on a budget. The prices are standard for Ibis htoels, with a room costing between 66-84 Euros (£45-56) during the week - depending on the time of year and 66 Euros (£45) at weekends. Although this may seem quite a lot for an airport hotel, its a lot less than other hotels in the are are charging, and you have to bear in mind the demand for hotels in this area. For example, if a flight is cancelled or majorly delyaed at CDG, its very likely that this is the aiport that you will be put up in overnight. For this reason, i suggest that you book well in advance, and not just hope that there are vacancies - we all know how unreliable airports can be at times!
For those of you that hope to use this hotel before or after a flight, a free shuttle bus runs to and from the hotel and CGD airport terminals - although you will have to catch a taxi if you are catching a flight in the early hours! Bear in mind that this could be pricey. A shuttle bus also runs to the TGV and Roissey train stations which is perfect if you want to visit the city centre but do not want to drive. From this hotel, the city centre can be reached within 30 minutes.
Ibis Paris Roissey Charles de Gaulle Paris is also suitable for families planing on taking a day trip to Disneyland Paris. Although perhaps it isnt suitable for those wishing to travel there everyday (or those without a car) as the journey isnt really desirable, its perfect for those who just want a day trip and the freedom to visit other tourist atractions. As well as this, although it may appear cheaper than the Disney hotels, you can get a Disney hotel and park admission package which is a lot cheaper than staying in Paris and paying to get in the park everyday.
This hotel has a reasonably priced restaurant as well as a separate bar. This is good as there arent many amenities in the area surrounding the hotel. However there is a room service facility operated by the friendly staff, but bear in mind this isn't 24 hour service.
The rooms are modern and well furnished. As well as being able to choose the number of people your room sleeps (prices are per room, not per person), each room has an ensuite bathroom, television and tea/coffee making facilities. Full details can be found on the Ibis website.
