...I stayed here in September for 3 nights and this is my opinions of this hostel.
Location
We arrived into Stockholm at around 2pm from a train from Oslo. The hostel is within easy walking distance of the main train station. Although it is only a five or tem minute walk from the train station the directions we recieved from hostelworld were not the most clear and we ended up going the long way round to get to the hostel.
The hostel is located just off a busy shopping street and from the train station you need to go down a couple of levels of roads to get to the main street.
However things are a bit more complex if arriving by ferry or air and it is avisable to simply get a taxi from either to the main train station or the hostel itself.
Our welcome
We arrived at the hostel and our welcome was one of the most pleasant...

Typical temptures during year are:
winter: -5 to +3 C
summer: +20 to + 27C
Old part of city is "Gamla Stan" (Old town) and it still got its original medieval street net from 13th century. Specially from "Gamla Stan" you can found wonderful restaurants and bars and small gift and antique shops.
Stockholm is full of different museums. My favorite is Vasa Museum what is now with the reconstruction of the missing parts of the Vasa Ship. GO TO SEE BEFORE IS GONE!!!! (Ship was over 400 yr's old, if I remember right and smell in museum was...welll not nicest ever but ship was stunning...

...Overview…
I was recently invited to visit a friend in Stockholm, who claimed to be 'researching' land-use in the city as part of his final year dissertation. As you can imagine, this turned out to be more of a cultural drinking experience, rather than visiting Stockholm as a tourist! For those of you who are that way inclined, here follows my experience of Stockholm through the eyes of a pint glass.
Stockholm - A Brief Introduction…
Stockholm is the capital of Sweden, and also considered to be the capital of Scandinavia. The city was built in the 13th century around Lake Mälaren, allowing the taxation of merchant vessels going in and out of the lake. It is built across 14 islands and is sometimes known as the 'Venice of the North'. Stockholm is renowned for its clean drinking water along with freedom of its waterways...

Arrived at the hotel at around 1pm on Friday 19th December. We eventually found the car park even though it was not sign posted at all (little side street to left of the Ibis and right behind the building). Giving the time of year we were relieved to... more
