I have been going to Ibiza every year for the past 13 years. I think that pretty much explains it but anyway. I am 19 years old and I do not go to Ibiza for the clubs. Some of you must thi nk I'm a clubbing maniac with me only being 19 but seriously, I have never been to one over there. I have found so many other things to do besides lazing around the pool all day, which is not something I like to do. If you are looking to go on an active holiday which involves some walking, some sight seeing and a few activities but you want to stay somewhere quiet, Ibiza is deffinatly the place for you! However, it does cater for everyone. If this is your kind of thing, the east would be the best place for you where there are beautiful beaches, fantastic bars and restaurantes, impecable service with very friendly staff and some good shopping in Santa Eularlia. There is a place not so far from Santa Eularlia called Es Cana where there are some great bars for those of you who like a drink but don't want to go too wild and there is a Hippy Market that opens on Wednesdays. Here you will experience some of Ibiza's finest traditions such as dancing, cooking and of course for the younger ones of the family, hair brading. (DON'T GET HENNA TATTOOS!!!) There is lots of music, themes and some very outrageous stores to take a look at. You don't have to buy anything but it's a great day out. If you walk the beach way from Santa Eularlia you will see some of the most pictuesque views of your life starting with the famous Bora Bora beach, Cala Pada Beach, Cala Martina Beach and S'Argamassa Beach. Cala Martina is that of the more lively beaches where you will find things like water sports, which I have to say are very exciting to say the least, and peddle boats. All of which are reasonably priced. However, if you are looking for something a bit more out there when it comes to the Mediteranian, there is a scoober diving company based at Cala Pada Beach. There are also some very beautiful bars and restaurantes there at S'Argamassa with some fantastic food and service. Brisa De La Mar to me is the best for it's views of the sea, the sun set and the lights of Santa Eularlia and Es Pas is the best for it's setting with a tropical and traditionlly Spannish theme. If you would like to join the locals there is a wonderful bar called Bar Paco where you can stay up late, have a quick bite to eat and drink sangria all night long. All this is right at the other side of the Island from San Antoni which isn't that nice on a night and it is insane for date rape pills, so take that as a warning from someone who knows. San Antoni Bay, on the other hand is beautiful in every respect. Some people may say it's part of San Antoni. Well Technically it is, but then it isn't because it is totally different. Put it this way, San Antoni is Cheap as chips, which is why all the idiots go there. San Antoni Bay is where you will find Cafe Mambo and Cafe Del Mar. If you are looking for a night on the high life, these are the bars to go to. They are very expensive, but they are worth it when you get there. You'll see why when you go. San Antoni may be a sess pit at night but it's great during the day when all the idiots are asleep with a beautiful beach and some great bars and restaurantes. A great place to go during the day. If you are looking for something a bit more up-market and excentric, Ibiza Town is the Place for you. Being the most expensive place on the Island with it being the Capital it would be hard to find cheaper accomodation there, however, it is packed with hotels. You can go there by bus, taxi and by boat. I prefer to travel by boat because you can see everything then and sometimes I discover new beaches when I do that. There is a docking harbour where you would enter the capital and there you would see the exact picture of the famous 2007 year old church in the old town. To get there you have to go through the back streets and lanes of Ibiza Town which is brilliant because then you can see how traditional Ibizan people live their lives. It is a massive hill to walk up but for those of you who don't think you can walk it, there are many small bars, restaurantes and cafe's on the way up there for stop off's. when you get right up to the top you can see the whole of Ibiza which is an amazing sight and also the airoplanes coming from Playa Den Bossa are right over your heads. Ibiza town has some great monuments, shopping, clubs, bars, cafe's and restauranes. it is especially fun when there are parrades on where you will see people dressed up and men in drag which is particularly funny. However, don't let them see you laugh at them! Especially if you are a man! Don't say I didn't warn you. Don't listen to those who say "Oh so your one of them types then" or something along those lines because they obviously havn't had the Ibiza Experience. It is anything but what it's made out to be. Overall, Ibiza is my favorite place in the world, particularly S'Argamassa. If there were ten stars, I would give it that rating any day!
