A good basic hotel but a bit noisy being right next to Rekjavik city airport. We stayed here for one night in July 2007 before moving on around Iceland. The staff were pleasant and welcoming and spoke excellent English. The room was a twin with no real view - basic but clean and comfortable. It also had blackout curtains which was useful with 24 hour daylight! It was about a 10-15 min walk into the city centre and the staff were very helpful in providing maps. The hotel appeared to be on the edge of an industrial estate so the walk wasn't particularly pleasant. There was a good selection of hot and cold food for breakfast. There was also an indoor swimming pool but unfortunately we weren't there long enough to try it.
