Advantages: Your Florence experiance will be complete by seeing this attraction. Disadvantages: NONE
, for the bell tower and the Dome, with the Catherdral it self being Free entry , if you were to do all of the sites i could would probably be no more than 25 euros. I think most parts are open daily 8:30-7:30 apart from sundays wich they are closed.
My verdict -
I went to florence for a weekend break last summer and seen most of the major attractions but by far "ilduomo" was the most breath taking and amazing site i saw. It was funny because florence is so built up you can walk around the corner and it can become out of site , as we were following directions to the duomo. You can hardley see it intill it is right in front of you. Which i think made the impact even bigger. The beauty of the Duomo and sheer size almost brought a tear to my eye. It captures your mind as you slowly walk around it in awe. Definiately a must see for anyone going to ...
Advantages: Good breakfasts, clean accommodation, pleasant and helpful staff. Disadvantages: If you are hot and tired it is a long walk back from the city centre.
On the three occasions we have visited Bologna we have stayed at this hotel.
The staff here have always been helpful and polite, the reception staff speak English fluently.
Each time we have stayed there we have had a different room, all the rooms we have a have been clean an well furnished.
The last time we went was in the Summer 2008 and we were given a room that had a modern bathroom and also had the advantage of a balcony so we were able to sit outside when we were there.
As with lots of Italian hotels in cities it is possible that your room will look onto a residential area but this room was quiet and not overlooked. I cannot remember how the previous two rooms we had were regarding noise but if they had been bad in that respect I would have remembered. I can recall that on an earlier visit we had a problem using ...
Advantages: Funny with some great description of the city Disadvantages: Not a serious crime thriller, not many suspects
