Advantages: A landmark hotel Disadvantages: It's a long way from home
...is on a road junction with vehicles 'horning' (yep, that really is the correct local term!) each other all day and all night, changing gear and generally making their presence felt. You may also find that your lovely quiet hotel is next door to a major building site.
The joy of the Imperial is that its eigth acre garden site enables the hotel to be set back slightly from the road. So even though you are slap-bang at the heart of things, it's remarkably quiet.
All the rooms have special noise reduction glazing.
3. History and Tradition
Although it was only built in 1931, 20 years after New Delhi became the capital of India, The Imperial is steeped in history.
The hotel was the venue for the negotiations between the leading Indian independence activists and the British 'rulers'. Just imagine what it would...

Advantages: The whole experience. Disadvantages: My stay was completely disadvantage free!

Advantages: Friendly cosy and excellent location. Disadvantages: Building work and only one small lift.
...We have just got back from another excellent long weekend to Belgium. This time we used Ostend as our base and were traveling with a party of 17 adults. The trip cost us £200 pounds each and this included our transport (in a 16 seater coach ~ the extra person was our mate the bus driver), crossing on the Channel Tunnel and three nights B&B in the ImperialHotel. The Imperial is part of the Best Western chain ~ a large hotel group that has hotels all over the world.
~~~WHERE IS THE IMPERIALHOTEL?
The hotel can be found at 76 Van Iseghenlaan in the centre of Ostend. It is around ten to fifteen minutes walk from the Train and Tram stations and is in an excellent location. It is within sight of the seafront, beach and the main Albert Promenade and is also just opposite the Casino. We picked the hotel primarily because...
