Advantages: The whole experience. Disadvantages: My stay was completely disadvantage free!
Regular readers of my reviews will no doubt already know I am a huge fan of Blackpool and that I travel there on a regular basis. Now I am the first to admit that when I visit Blackpool it is more about the place itself than the accommodation and therefore I usually just opt for a very inexpensive B&B but I do on occasions like to treat myself to a luxury break in a hotel and have stayed in the Big Blue hotel that overlooks the Pleasure beach (already reviewed) and also in the ImperialHotel which is what I am going to tell you a bit about here.
I stayed in the Imperial in late 2004 so I do apologise if there have been changes that I fail to mention in this review but I am assured after talking to friends who I recommended the hotel to and are recently back from their stay that it is every bit as good now as I told them it was then ...
Advantages: 4 star luxary, excellent breakfest, cheap deals if booked early Disadvantages: smallish sized room
So here we are traveling the globe and the Scandinavian is without doubt the most expensive for hostels and we were really struggling to find a hostel in central Copenhagen until my girlfriend stumbled upon this excellent hotel which worked out to be only a couple of pounds more expensive then the hostels in the area - but this one has of course a four star luxury status!

The hotel stood out on this quiet street as we arrived at 9pm and there was no one walking the streets and only one building as lit up - this was the phoenix.
The hotel entrance is grand with a water feature in the middle of reception and its have ...
Advantages: A pleasant place to stay whilst visiting the beautiful Disadvantages: Cost
I was so excited about going to Copenhagen that I never really gave much thought to the hotel because that's my dad's department! He sorts out all our flights and accommodation when we go on holiday (and he always does a good job too!) So when he said we were going to stay in a Marriott hotel, I just trusted his judgement and focused all my excitement on what we were going to do once we got to Copenhagen.
The Copenhagen Marriott (has 5 stars)
********************************************
The hotel has 11 floors and over 300 rooms. (I think we were on the 3rd floor - not that it would matter as there are lifts!) It also has a number of suites. (Unfortunately we just stayed in a standard room with 2 double beds. But it was nice all the same!) It is situated on the riverfront (and we were lucky enough to have a water facing view ...

Manufacturer's product description
Welcome to the 4 star Imperial Hotel, where the warm and relaxed atmosphere inside, contrasts with the bustle of hotel\\\'s central location. The hotel\\\'s central location is opposite the main railway station, 2 minutes\\\' walk from the Tivoli Gardens, 5 minutes from the pedestrianised Stroget street, and even a leisurely 20 minute stroll will take visitors to Copenhagen\\\'s famous, and oft-photographed, Nyhavn area; popular with locals, especially in the Summer months. Public areas include a truly cozy bar, a welcoming lounge with open fireplace, and an in-house restaurant. The Hotel Imperial has more regular customers than most other 4 star hotels. The hotel also has a variety of facilities and services that are sure to meet the need of both business and leisure travellers. Staff makes every effort to ensure guests feel totally at home here. The Imperial not only offers a high standard of accommodation, but also a relaxing ambience and a perfect location.
