Imperial Palace

Advantages: too many advantages
Disadvantages: some modern stuff break the environment

This palace has buit in Qing Dynasdy, many Kings in Qing Dynasdy use to live in this palace. It has been rebuilt many times in order to showing for tourist. it is one of the most famouse attractions in Beijing and even China. Thousands of people go to visit the imperial palace everyday, it attracts lots of foreiners as well. From this palace, I have learned a lot of Chinese history, especially the Qing Dynasdy part. It located just in the middle of Changan road, not for from the shopping place, at the time I have been there, I went by underground, which cost only 3 yuan. I have been there 3 times, each time I was gaining different experience. One interest thing is I find a starbucks in the imperial palace, it is not very good though, it break the whole environment at all. Because this palace is a very traditional structure, I think ...

Review of Forbidden City (Imperial Palace), Beijing

A quiet place in central Seoul

Advantages: Cheap, Relaxing, Historical
Disadvantages: Outside, so wouldn't be good on a rainy day

***What it is*** The main palace of the Joseon Dynasty and is the largest of the palaces in Seoul, built in 1394. ***Location*** Situated north of City Hall and at the end of Sejongno Street in Central Seoul. Make sure you eat before going as there are few restaurants in this area. ***Transport*** You can take the subway to Gyeongbokgung station, line number 3 - orange line and then take exit 5 towards the entrance of the palace. The subway station has some nice murals, a public toilet which would be a good idea to use before wandering around the palace. I don't remember seeing any public toilets once inside the complex. ***Cost*** Adult: 3,000 won (1.50 GBP) Children between 7-18 1,500 won Tours are in English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean. The tour is not compulsory so you have the option of going at your own ...

Review of Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul

Changdeokgung Palace

Advantages: Very nice garden , worth visiting
Disadvantages: No

a nice walk and the scenery was beautiful. I went there in the summer and the air was fresh with the smell of trees nearby. At the entrance, there is a souvenir shop. We stopped over to get a few things. A typical souvenir to get is the bookmark. They have various design and some even come with very fine embroidery, a definite proof of the excellent Korean craftsmanship. The palace can be reached by taking the underground: From Exit No. 3 of Anguk Subway Station (Seoul Subway Line No. 3), walk toward Biwon for 2 minutes. - From Exit No. 6 of Jongno 3(sam)-ga Subway Station (Seoul Subway Line No. 1 & 5), walk 10 minutes passing by Nakwon Store. ...
