The Astra in a Nutshell

Advantages: Nice looking, reliable motor.
Disadvantages: Bodywork will rust.

For me, my Astra is a great second car. I love driving it, despite the lack of powersteering. It has a comfortable accelaration, very affective breaks and sticks to the road. It is heavy to steer and therefore difficult in maneuvers such as parallel parking and three-point turns, but for an older car it is still a lot of fun. It nice to look at from the outside, the shape is still fashionable today and is older than people realise. Polished up it looks impressive and it has a friendly face (a feature us girls consider very important when chosing a car!). The interior is spacious and comfortable, and can easily fit five people without it feeling squashed. The front seats are fully adjustable, however the back seats lack head rests. The boot is large and can fit a reasonable amount of luggage, infact i could fit enough ...

Review of Vauxhall Astra 1.4i Hatchback

Vauxhall's Astra is SXi

Advantages: goodlooking, sexy, excellent ride ;-)
Disadvantages: common!

~ My history ~ My very first car was a Renault Clio and after a crash on Valentines Day 2005 (which completely wrote it off (oops) and I couldn't believe I had to pay £50 to get them to scrap my little baby! (grr) Because I needed a car to get to work, the search began almost instantly to find another car. I had driven an Astra before and really liked them, I thought they were quite compact but big enough to fit people in without being packed in like sardines. I know I didn't want the bog standard Astra, so I went on the Vauxhall website and started to look at what they had to offer. ~ The Sxi ~ I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to cars and engines etc and was a bit lost as to what spec I wanted and what kind of engine, so was only really bothered about how it looked (typical girl?) This is where ...

Review of Vauxhall Astra 1.6 Hatchback

Astra- nomical Price

Advantages: Sexy design, sporty look, good on boot space
Disadvantages: Cheap interior appearance, not comfortable

that they are less uncomfortable. When you have a brand new car you do expect it to be better than older cars, this car is not, the seat is very hard and the bucket seats for the front passengers are very firm and I imagine could get very easily worn with much use getting in and out of the car. The Driver has instrument panel light dimmer so that they can alter the brightness of the lights on the dashboard this is controlled by a small wheel to the right of the driver next to the steering column. Rev counter and odometer are also on the car, which again is nothing great to boast about its all standard features. The Astra Sri does have a small computer built in which has trip information great if you have to measure your mileage on the journeys; it calculates the interior/exterior temperature ok not need to have features but fairly handy ...
