Advantages: It's an eye-opener Disadvantages: It's not very glamorous
...that this is anything other than a truly remarkable achievement. However, if you take the context away from the displays, you could easily leave feeling that this had been a disappointment.
This is not a child friendly, or Disney style wow factor museum. It is a testament to guts, hard work, belief and perseverance in the face of immense adversity and hardship. This alone is worth experiencing, as no understanding of the Modern Israel can be complete without grasping this.
You should note that this museu, is not in central TelAviv, but in a nice suburb to the north called Ramat Aviv. Besides driving a car there, the only way to access the museum is via the regular city buses, with which the museum, is amply supplied. Any bus leaving the city on the main north-bound highway (so going to Caesarea, Haifa or Netanya) will go past it. However, once you...

Advantages: a modern and old, Eastern and Western city Disadvantages: To all the politicians, it is necessary to rehabilitate!
..., it is rebuilt
and renovated. Today, one finds a colony of artists there, art
galleries, shops of craft industry, delicious fish restaurants. To see
in Jaffa: the Tower of the Clock which announces the entry of the old
city, the Mahmoudia mosque, the museum of Antiquities, the church
franciscaine and the monastery Saint-Louis, the mosque of Jama
El-Baher, the Armenian church, the Turkish of El-Hamam, splendid
manor, the path of the Horoscope and the famous market with
antiquities. Jaffa, it is the diamond of Tel-Aviv, a princess who

Advantages: Close to sea front and central areas Disadvantages: Traffic, late night noise from discos
...I have stayed in the Sheraton Moriah on a number of visits to Tel-Aviv. Subsidised Hotel rates are available through the Israeli export industry. The hotel is located directly opposite the marina and at the north end of the Tel-Aviv beach.
The hotel is in walking distance of a number of bars along the sea-front to the south. It is also 10-15 minutes walking distance of the Dizengoff Centre, Allenby Street and other central locations.
The Sheraton Moriah has business facilities located at the top of the building, with panoramic views over the city of Tel-Aviv and out over the Mediterranean Sea. Business facilities includes a free salad/breakfast bar, wireless internet access, free wine and beer.
The rooms are clean and tidy and more than adequate. The hotel is aging slightly but I find it a pleasant stay....
