Holiday Inn Goa (Good and Bad)

Advantages: Weather- Beach - Walking - Food - Relaxation
Disadvantages: Time Share - Russians - Tipping

\We went to the Holiday inn 3 times over three years. The first two times it was fabulous. The Hotel itself was really clean and the staff were really friendly and could not do enough for you. We stayed in the Club Rooms which are just a little bigger than the normal rooms and better fitted out. The hotel is set back from the beach and you walk along a lovely path through the gardens. We went all inclusive both times an probably paid about £1400 ...
...clean wide and you can walk for miles. The sea is warm and inviting. You can eat in the beach shacks as many people did, but we loved the food in the hotel and wanted nothing more than complete rest. We had previously stayed at the Leela Beach, The Ramada Renaissance and The Cicado where we had done all our touring. The last time we went back we noticed a drastic change, the Russians had found the hotel, they were loud, rude and took over the place, ...

Mussoorie - The Queen of Hills

Advantages: Nature at its best, thrilling experience and memories to cherish
Disadvantages: Drive is a bit dangerous

Mussoorie also called the Queen of Hills can be anybody's dream destination and so was mine. The sizzling experience starts when we view and experience its altitude location of 6600 feet. The heart stops when we see the Doon valley in the south and the snow clad Himalayas in the north east from Mussoorie. This beautiful hillstation has got the varied collection of Flora and fauna with Cedrus deodara being the main attraction. Cedrus deodara resembles ...
...Mussoorie keeps on changing throughout the day. There is a saying in India which says 'You can never predict when the Fashion of Mumbai, Girl of Delhi and Climate of Mussorie will change'. Before I narrate my travel experience of Mussoorie, let me give its background in terms of history, location, my hotel stay and a glimpse of the places to be visited. History : In 1820, Captain Young of the British army was influenced by the beauty of this ...

GURGAON a Village becomes heart of corporate India

Advantages: Scenary, Lakes, Modern and Ancient architecture, Nightlife, Entertainment, Shopping and great food.
Disadvantages: Poor local authorities and everything run by Public sector.

...in Calcutta but moved to Gurgaon (South of Delhi) with my parents at the age of 12 and have lived there till 1999 until I moved to London 5 years back. This review is a tribute to a place where I spent all my teenage years. Unfortunately even Lonely Planet has not covered this place in its India book, as Gurgaon has gained prominence in recent times. Gurgaon used to be a small village north-west of India situated near the border of Delhi and very ...
...jurisdiction of state of Haryana. Gurgaon is now a city in itself booming to be the capital of corporate India. HISTORY ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The city (earlier village) is named after Guru Dronacharya; who was offered the village as gurudakshina (the tradition of giving a gift to your teacher after completion of learning) by his students. The word Gaon means village in Hindi and there are hundreds and thousands of them in India. This place is over 2500 ...
