Romantic And Exotic Location With All Mod Cons Advantages: Luxurious, quiet, relaxed but excellent service and facilities Disadvantages: None except it's too far to go for a short break. The Taj Exotica, Goa is a five star resort which overlooks the Arabian Sea. It is a Mediterranean style hotel which is one of the best five star hotels in Goa. It set amid 56 acres of carefully manicured gardens which the gardeners seem to tens at all hours of the day and night. There are huge, tall palm trees all around the front which gives the building an exotic, tropical air as you go in via the front doors. The very first thing that struck ... ...don't mean that the service was poor, just that there seemed to be no need to rush anywhere, or to do anything in a hurry. Everything from have a drink beside the pool to dining in one of the restaurants is relaxed and somehow refreshing. It is certainly a welcome break from city life. Fort Aguada Hermitage,Sinquerim,Goa Advantages: Plush 5 star resort with ample grounds and facilities. Disadvantages: None ...looked at the five star Fort Aguada Hermitage on line at home and the prices were not cheap($130 per night for a 1 bedroom villa) But we decided nothing ventured nothing gained and were so fed up we got a taxi to the huge grounds that belong to the world famous Taj group of hotels. Upon asking at reception we were blown away when they said the same villa we looked at on line was $90 to book there and then so we asked if we could have a look.Now ... ...reason this is called the Fort Aguada is because it is built on the ramparts of a 16th century Portuguese fortress. Building commenced in 1612 under increased threats from the Dutch. Excellent Historical Site Advantages: Beautiful Building, Excellent service Disadvantages: Can get hot in summers ...behind it has to be Fort Khejarla!!!!! The best ambience without a doubt was the ambience which was out of the world, with the village all around. The feeling is like being nestled in heaven.
