Ever since some friends of mine were raving about Goa, about ten years ago, I'd been wanting to visit. ...really enjoyed my stay at Taj Malabar and highly recommend it to everyone.It is a little far from the city but one can easily get taxis to take you. I recommend not taking the Taxis provided by the Hotel as they charge a lot .A trip to Cochin was at Rs 800/-(10 pounds).The cheaper alternative is to request the desk staff to call a taxi ..they charge anywhere between Rs 250 - Rs 300/-(3-4 pounds). ...looked at the five star Fort Aguada Hermitage on line at home and the prices were not cheap($130 per night for a 1 bedroom villa) But we decided nothing ventured nothing gained and were so fed up we got a taxi to the huge grounds that belong to the world famous Taj group of hotels.
