Excellent Hotel
Advantages: Great staff, great food, great room Disadvantages: None!
I stayed here for 3 days in August 2006. We got a good deal on prices as it was the monsoon, though from the weather you couldn't tell. It is definitely worth considering coming in the low season.
The hotel is reasonably modern and very clean. The rooms are what you expect from a Hilton, with lots of little nice touches - free 2l bottle of water each day - great for sightseeing! There is also some lovely toiletries and slippers provided. About half ... ...contains the very nice swimming pool.
The food is lovely. The breakfast is done buffet style but there is so much choice and is constantly being replenished so things are always hot. There is both Indian breakfasts as well as more Western alternatives available. An evening meal wasn't included in our price, so you can either eat out or stay in - dinner is waiter service and very reasonably priced as well as being delicious (I recommend the mango ...

Comfortable but bring your own dinner!
Advantages: Large and comfortable room, quite good breakfast Disadvantages: Very poor Reception, dull dinner, boring bar
...to choose from; the four-star Radisson offers a balance of price and international comfort. Arrival I had arranged for a car to meet me at the airport and found the driver without any trouble. The drive into the city, though, was hair-raising. We seemed to spend most of the time on the wrong side of the road, overtaking ox carts or rickshaws, with large trucks and buses bearing down on us, horns blaring, and my driver seeming not to notice! We were ... ...She refused to note my Radisson card number, though, as she said I was not paying the full tariff (who does??). Not long after Lovely started on me, I noticed a waiter deliver a tray with four cocktails to the Concierge desk, where they sat for an age. It was as I was almost finished that, finally, someone picked them up and delivered them to a group of people in the lounge. I made a mental note not to order drinks from the lounge! When I got up ...

Nice Hotel, shame about the noisy guests
Advantages: Clean, large rooms, good food Disadvantages: Small reception, slow check in
I was travelling to Lucknow on business and had to choose a hotel. None of the international chains has a hotel there, so I was wondering where to stay, when I heard of the Park Inn hotels. This is a small, but growing, chain of hotels in India, part of the Sarovar group. I was told that they are quite nice, so I decided to give it a try. RESERVATIONS
For a country which has such a strong IT base, international call centres and online service centres, ... ...booked online. Thankfully, the Park Inn is one of the exceptions. There is a quick and easy system to check availability and make reservations on the Sarovar Hotels website, www.sarovarhotels.com In common with most, if not all, hotels in India, there are two prices, one in Indian Rupees, for Indian nationals and residents, and another price one in US dollars for non-residents. The prices are fairly equitable at Rs3150 for residents, or US$70 / GB£40 ...

It's a Hydera-goodie in Hydera-baddie
Advantages: Fantastic value and amazing tour package Disadvantages: South Indian Breakfast - sorry Varun but my stomach can't handle curry at 8 am!
...fun we had at the Hotel Geetanjali. Finding Hotels in India
Trying to find a hotel in a city that you don't know is always a bit of a challenge and when it's in India, it can be doubly tricky. Many's the evening I've spent staggering round the internet trying to get an objective opinion on Indian hotels but this time we really fell on our feet. We've stayed in some very dodgy cheap Indian hotels in the past; who could forget the one with the ... ...nervous about choosing an inexpensive hotel but when I looked at reviews of mid-priced hotels in Hyderabad, I couldn't find anything that persuaded me it was worth paying the extra. All I really wanted was to find a base from which we could explore and get the most out of the city.
Normally I ask people who've been to a city I'm going to visit. I try to find out the 'right' areas to stay in and then go and search the internet for something suitable. ...

Excellent Historical Site
Advantages: Beautiful Building, Excellent service Disadvantages: Can get hot in summers
...behind it has to be Fort Khejarla!!!!! The best ambience without a doubt was the ambience which was out of the world, with the village all around. The feeling is like being nestled in heaven. The walk outside the hotel in the village is beautiful; service is par excellence, historical and cultural tours are very information and interesting. All this enhances the Khejarla experience. This place is not visited by traditional tours, but you cannot miss ...
