The exterior and interior of the hotel is restored to a very high level. The hotel is very clean and efficiently run with a friendly manner. I came on my own to Jaipur for business and stayed at the Umaid Bhawan for 7 days. I didn't have a single bad experience at the hotel. Excellent Hotel Advantages: Great staff, great food, great room Disadvantages: None! I stayed here for 3 days in August 2006. We got a good deal on prices as it was the monsoon, though from the weather you couldn't tell. It is definitely worth considering coming in the low season. The hotel is reasonably modern and very clean. The rooms are what you expect from a Hilton, with lots of little nice touches - free 2l bottle of water each day - great for sightseeing! There is also some lovely toiletries and slippers provided. About half ... ...contains the very nice swimming pool. The food is lovely. The breakfast is done buffet style but there is so much choice and is constantly being replenished so things are always hot.
