The Old Lady of Indian Flying

Advantages: Good food, some nice people, clean planes
Disadvantages: Punctuality, airport services, some old planes

...bad things to say about Indian Airlines. They tut, shake their head, roll their eyes. Even cringe.

For many years India had just two airline, both state-run: Air India, who did the international flying, and Indian Airlines who did the domestic flights. This resembled the old days in the UK where BOAC flew longhaul and BEA flew within Europe. The British government realised this wasn't working back in the 1970s, but it continues in ...
...to it? I've flown with Indian Airlines several times over the past six months, from the Gulf into India and within India. There have been some inconsistencies, but mostly they are quite comparable. They still have the widest network within India, operating to places that others don't want to.

British West Indian Airlines

Advantages: Very good domestic, gets you from A to B
Disadvantages: Poor international meals, bad In-Flight Entertainment

British West Indian Airlines, also known as BWIA, also known as BWee, are an airline operating out of the West Indies serving 21 destinations, including London, Toronto, New York, Barbados and Caracas. They operate a daily flight between London Heathrow and Trinidad. They also run domestic routes within the Caribbean, but only a limited service here, like in between the main islands - Antigua and Barbados. They do have a reasonably large fleet, sporting an all-new livery, but I'm afraid I can't find out how many 'planes they have. Ordering Tickets... BWee now have a new e-reservation system on the internet called EBooking. This makes buying tickets much easier. So their great prices are now easier to get to! BWee is cheap, and you'll find plenty of special offers on their site, so keep your eyes peeled! INTERNATIONAL ROUTES ...

Review of British West Indian Airlways - BWIA

Jet Airways is the best Indian airliner!!!!!!!!!

Advantages: the flights are always on time. great food too.
Disadvantages: bit heavy on the pocket sometimes.

I have to say jet airways is far most the best airline i have ever flew in to places in india. It always turns out to be more expensive than Air India but there is a reason for that and the reason is that it provides better service than air india and any other indian airliner. I have never had any problems with jet airways but when i choose to fly with air india, the problems keep increasing everytime. Last time i went with Air India, the flight was delayed more than five hours and the customer service was very bad and rude too. But with Jet Airways, this is not the case because their customer service is great, food you get in jet airways is of five star hotel standard, the air hostess treat you so well. They even remember which drink I ordered few minutes ago without me having to tell them. Jet Airways is always on time whenever I ...

Review of Jet Airways

Jet airways is good over Air India

Advantages: well mannered staff, food, customer service
Disadvantages: less direct flights, small lag room

I have travelled through Jet airways on their international as well as domestic fleets. Jet is one of best Indian airlines for domestic travel, there is no doubt about it. They have recently take over Air Sahara (sahara group airline) and rename it as jetlite. So for budget airline jetlite is good option which cover many destinations within India. For international flights it is now cheaper than Air India. So always preferable over Air India. Staff is helpful and well mannered. If you are a frequent flier (I am blue member while my husband is silver card member) then it is whole new experience of welcoming, air port lounge service and seat selection. We were allowed for higher baggage which was most convinient way for us to take our luggage. So after frequet flier club joining they have some extra advantages. Food quality is average ...
