Excellent!!! 2 of 2 Ciao Users found the following review helpful
Rating from dipstick 5 Stars ()

Advantages Always open, good choice of cakes and food, great place to hang out, and chill.

Disadvantages Becomes boring after a while, if you go there too often. No difference between smoking and non smoking seats since the place isn't too big.

Insomnia is what the name says it is. It's open 24 hours. Even on Christmas day, even on New Year's day as well. I haven't seen it closed once before. Personally, I haven't found any cafe that's like Insomnia in terms of concept and design. This is an example of a cafe that proves that expensive design is not the only way to go. They can use their walls as exhibition areas to provide an ever changing decoration for customers who frequent the place. What they do is that they use the walls as an exhibition area for art students to display their works of art. Customers who like these can then purchase them. Insomnia is located on Woodlands Road leading to the city center. They have many varieties of coffees and teas as well as their famous cheese cakes. You have to try their brand of cheese cakes. They are excellent!!! With over 30 choices to choose from. And they have a menu with main and side dishes for those who are hungry as well. Another thing is that Insomnia have their own bakery called Crispin's located a few doors down the road. So one can always nip in and get that scrumptuously sinful cheese cake!!! Insomnia is frequented mostly by students, usually those up at insane hours in the night studying or after the disco has closed, etc. It's probably the only cafe still open at those hours which would explain its popularity to students. It does tend to get crowded in the nights, from Thursday to Saturday.
