Advantages: Service, cleanliness, ambience, views, value for money Disadvantages: None but not suitable for young families or clubbers!
First of all, a word to the warning for anyone who enjoys the Magaluf/Palma Nova style holiday experience - the Hotel Felip and the resort of PortoCristo are not for you! I say resort but in fact, PortoCristo is a small coastal town built on the fishing industry and now boasts a very busy marina for private boat owners in addition to the still substantial fishing fleet. The town is on the east coast of Mallorca, about 62 kms (55 minutes) from Palma by car.
PortoCristo is probably most famous for the popular and stunning Caves of Drach which hosts day trip coach loads from all parts of the island, on a daily basis. The small town centre has a few tourist shops and cafe/restaurants together with local bars but no large clubs and you're very unlikely to spot a lager lout here! To be serious, the ambience of PortoCristo is suitable ...
Advantages: Hotel staff, all inclusive, close to the beach, nice pools. Disadvantages: Limited activities in the town, repetitive & oily food sometimes
My partner and I have been to ClubCala Romani twice now and we would definitely recommend it for a cheap all inclusive holiday!

The drinks are brilliant - made quite strong though at times - they put a LOT of spirits in, which were sometimes too strong for me. The food is fine, but there isn't a lot of variety from day to day and is sometimes cooked in a lot of oil. While I am not vegetarian, I don't really eat a lot of meat and I found that many of the dishes contained meat - which my partner really enjoyed however. There was pizza ...
Advantages: Staff, amenities, location, service Disadvantages: None
and comfortable. We were even provided with a bottle of wine as a sorry for the original "hiccup".
Breakfast and evening meals were taken in the huge, lively restaurant and we were impressed by the range and quality of the meals but in particular by the friendly efficiency of the staff here and at the reception desk. Nothing was too much trouble and a welcome change from other accommodation that we have frequented both home and abroad.
We had the pleasure of meeting the Hotel's Directoria, Ms Irma Schadegg, for whom nothing is too much trouble in terms of "ensuring her guests enjoyment during their stay."
We found the resort to be compact and well situated with local resort train and buses to neighbouring reorts stopping outside the hotel entrance. A visit to PortoCristo is a must! However there is plenty going on in Calas to satisfy most ...
