Advantages: It's not Ibiza, truly relaxing holiday, beautiful beaches and delicious food Disadvantages: bit more expensive than mainland Spain
clubs ensure that there is never a dull moment, but at least you have the option of
going to the quieter part of town should you wish.
Shopping is restricted to small, individual outlets with local crafts such as lace, leather and hand painted jewellery. Most gifts are of really high quality and range in price, but they are individual and again very different to those found on the mainland......no donkeys or "My parents went to Formentera and all I got was..........." t-shirts here.
However, another difference to mainland Spain is the cost of the holiday. Package holidays are considerably more expensive but that cost can be reduced by organising it yourself. Eating, drinking, entertainment and gifts will cost more but, better quality does cost more and the quality is much higher.

This is very handy if you want to keep nipping back for snacks or drinks seen as they are already paid for.
It takes between 45 mins and an hour and a half to transfer from the airport to the hotel depending on time of travel but we must have hit a bad day as it took us well over two hrs to get there that was the worst bit.

The natives are polite and nothing is too much trouble for them. They readily greet you on entering the shops. In the bars we were asked if we wanted to sit down and they would come for our drinks order and fetch it for us but I chose to fetch it myself. The least I could ...
If there's one thing I looked forward to all year, its a summer holiday. We try out best to make sure we go away every summer, and to date we haven't had very many bad experiences with the hotels we have picked.
Last year, our choice of Holiday was to Tenerife. We booked our holiday at the very last minute. We were due to fly on July 6th, and at the beginning of April, we went into the travel agents and booked.
Our choice of hotel, was the Iberostar Torviscas Playa, Costa Adeje, Tenerife.

Travel Agents Recommendation/Booking.
We started browsing through brochures and searching online for a summer holiday in around January. We came to the agreement that Tenerife would be our choice of hotel. We studied the prices in the brochures and haggled online, however although the offers online looked very good value for money, we ...
