of things, so I darted off to the biscuit aisle in search of a little treat!
There were various types of chocolate chip cookies. My eye, however was attracted to a shiny red packet. These particular biscuits were Maryland Chocolate Chip Cookies. I used to take a packet of the mini cookies in my lunch box, but it had been almost 2 years since i'd tasted them.
I grabbed a packet of the shelf, and was pleasently surprised with the price. For 150g, they costed 50p.
I thought this was a great price for a brand name. Next to the 150g packet, there was a much larger 300g pack for £1.37. I decided against this as I knew if we got the large packet, I'd more than likely be the one too finish them off.
Comparing the price to other brands, Asda value cookies (200g) cost 28p, Cadburys (150g) 98p and Fox's were round about the £1.40 mark if I remember ...
Advantages: Very tasty. A fair amount of chocolate in each cookie. Disadvantages: Too sugary. Not a lot in a pack.
Everyone loves a good biscuit. Whether it be with a lovely cup of tea, part of a pudding, or just as a light snack during the day. The biscuit market is full of many brands, with many different types of biscuit available. They are an invention of the good old USA, and have since being imported to the UK in 1956, been deemed as one of the best selling biscuits around.
They come in a blaringly bright and noticeable red pack, with some appetising looking examples of their produce on the front underneath the name of the product ...
Advantages: A tasty chocolate cookie Disadvantages: none
Passing through the supermarket aisles more often than not gives me an attack of the `munchies` , they always advise that you eat before you shop and I do! honestly! But for me it never seems to work.
Almost every aisle seems to have something that I could rip the wrapper from and instantly devour, you might have gathered that I like my food!
I am a biscuit connoisseur, if there was a degree in `Biscuitry` then I would have an Honours Degree. I would have willingly attended any University on a small student grant to have been granted the privelege of eating and studying biscuits `in depth`.
But back to the real World...
Maryland double choc chip cookies are the tops, the purple plastic packet is the first thing to catch your eye, `Maryland` stands out in `strictly no parking here` yellow and one or two of the rocky cookies have ...
