Insotel Club Punta Prima Apartments, Minorca

Advantages: Ideal for families
Disadvantages: The beach gets a little windy at times.

...If you like Spain and have young children then go to Menorca and stay at Punta Prima. It is a small resort with many visitors during the day but a lot quieter on a night. It is ideal for families with younger children, if you take them for a meal on a night time there are not a lot of older teenagers hogging the pool tables etc. The beach is clean and the sea is shallow, you can wade out for quite a distance before it gets too deep. Sometimes it gets a little windy and the sand gets blown about a bit but in general the breeze is more than welcome. If you stay self catering then the food prices in the shops are very reasonable. Finally, if you do go to Punta Prima you must visit the pub called "La Bolera", run by Jordi and Brenda, you will recieve the warmest welcome you will ever have.... Read review

Advantages: very reasonably priced
Disadvantages: a long way from main resort

...we visited as a family of 5 and found the apartments to be very clean but basic. The staff were very helpful and friendly - especially the thomson kids club reps! It is a good twenty minute walk into the main resort of cala n'forcat but has a fabulous swimming pool so you dont need to go out to relax. I would recommend a hire car if you want to go out and explore the island at all as public transport is not very frequent. There are some very reasonable restaurants nearby - i wouldn't eat in the vista blanes as the one thing they don't seem to do well is food. All in all for the cost of these apartments in comparison to others in menorca make a great base from which to explore from.... Read review

...I stayed at this hotel in August 2007 on a self catering basis in one of the apartments. the accommodation and resort was very clean and friendly. Our apartment was cleaned everyday and fresh towels and bed linen were given. Cooking facilities in the apartment with a fridge. Also apartment had air conditioning. Two outdoor swimming pools and one indoor pool. Food and drink were good although a little expensive, I would recommend going all inclusive to this hotel, about 75% of people were their on the all inclusive option Excellent kids club and very good evening entertainment. Lots of activities going on around the complex throughout the day. There were also pool tables and ping pong tables on the complex. There was an onsite supermarket which is convenient but again a little over priced. The only downside to this hotel... Read review
