...Originally I'm from Cyprus and I am very proud of that. I feel very lucky because I lived there most the years of my life. (in Paphos, in a village that is called Armou that is on a hill and from up there you can see nice view and all paphos town and the sea!)
Paphos have everything you need to take your holidays (if you are seeknig to have a holiday somewhere in Europe) and it's also very good place so stay (if you are planning to move in Cyp forever!)
The weather is wonderful, especially during the summer, the sun, the beach everything! You can enjoy your night in Kato Paphos visiting a variety or taverns, restaurants, the castle, clubs, bars, cafes and meet new people.
The hotels are all very nice with good prices. But if you are considering to move in Cyprus-Paphos, you will find it a bit expensive to get a house and start your...

...I’ve recently returned from a week in Paphos, Cyprus and had a great time. But now it’s back to work and routine. I’d have posted this sooner but my naughty computer has been playing up.
We stayed in an apartment complex just outside Paphos. Paphos is a resort in the west of Cyprus. It’s divided into two nearby areas. Kato Papos is the area by the harbour and has lots of touristy shops and restaurants and archaeological sites. Ktima Paphos is very nearby and is set on a hill. It’s where a lot of civil administration buildings are and is less touristy.
There is a fairly cheap and frequent bus service that will get you around the area. The no 10 and 15 bus go to Kato Paphos and the no 11 bus goes to Ktima Paphos.
Although we had a great time Paphos does have it’s downsides. Kato Paphos is touristville. There are rows and rows...

~*~ A BRIEF HISTORY OF PAPHOS ~*~
The history of Cyprus goes back at least 10,000 years and there are a huge number of ancient monuments and sites throughout the island. Alexander the Great and St Paul both played their parts in shaping the Cyprus of today. However, the best known figure from the past is Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, who made her home in Paphos itself, after allegedly emerging from the seas nearby. Alexander the Great and his successors, the Ptolemies, also made their home in Paphos, making it the capital of Cyprus due its very busy and thriving port area. It remained the capital for seven further centuries, even when the Romans took over. The Roman Governor of the island Sergius Paulus was converted to Christianity by St Paul on his visit to Cyprus...
