On our recent trip to the Loire Valley Mr Tart and myself arrived in Tours quite late on our first night. We drove down to Tours from Paris. We were going to stop for something to eat on the way but in the end decided to make our way straight to Tours and get settled in the hotel and then find something close by. A couple of minutes from our hotel we came across this place and were really glad that we did.
LOCATION:
La Chope is located at 25 Avenue Grammont. Our hotel was on the same road so we just came across it. It is about a ten minute walk from Tours? old town. The restaurant doesn?t stand out and the sign is not particularly bright so make sure you look out for it.
THE EXPERIENCE:

afternoon and partying till late. No wonder they have some of the healthiest and longest living people in Europe.
I was delighted when 'La Tasca' opened up in town. I actually thought it was a one off restaurant and was disappointed to discover it is one of a chain. So it goes, chain living is part of the English suburban lot. I will eat my hat if I find a decent restaurant in this town that is an original, but that taken into consideration it was always in my mind to visit La Tasca but I only got around to it on Friday night. My friend Jen and I both stuck for something to do, so why not check it out?? Good plan indeed.
The place is a converted bank, and from the outside looks small, like one of those old fashioned family run places that made you feel like you were eating in someone's front room. I am not sure if this is deliberate, I am ...

are in a hurry since you have to spend about two hours there for a meal. A full-course meal at Red may cost around Php 3,000. Another expensive place is the Japanese restaurant Inagiku. While the food there is delicious, I think the same quality can be enjoyed in other less expensive restaurants around the area.
Makati Shangri-la is located in the heart of the Makati City Central Business District. Shopping and entertainment centers are everywhere so you would find a myriad of activities to indulge in while in the area. It is a few meters away from the bus stop and the Metro Rail Transit station and taxis can easily be hailed at the hotel or even along the road. Makati Shangri-la is highly-recommended for people with discriminating taste. ...
