Interlaken Hotels

Advantages: Great value, friendly and accommodating staff and clean rooms
Disadvantages: Some way from the UK.

They all told me that Switzerland is expensive. But comparing the cost of the Bernerhof Hotel with similar hotels in the UK gives excellent value for money. The Bernerhof is a 3-star hotel so its unlikely to suit the backpacker or the Windsors but it'll suit those who are looking for comfort and facility at a reasonable price. The beds were comfortable and the room was spotless and well cleaned every day but there was street noise with the balcony door open. ...is a great 4 star hotel in the centre of interlaken, close to all public transport including the 2 rail stations. Rail and bus travel is cheap in Switzerland. It is close to the centre of interlaken and has amazing views of the Jungfrau. It has a great restaurant and bar in the hotel as well as lovely gardens. This is a family friendly hotel with good disabled facilities. The staff offer excellent customer service and they speak french, english ... Read review

Disadvantages: Almost none - ok maybe one: no lift

...are too far apart. Hotel Rugenpark is only 3 minutes walk away from Interlaken West. I would say staying near Interlaken West is better than Interlaken Ost because there are more shops surrounding the west station and the tourist information centre is also near the west station. To find the hotel, turn left when you exit the train station, walk straight ahead for 3 minutes and you will find the hotel on your left. Our room is on the second floor ...
...leave the hotel during the day, you need to put the hotel key on the key board and this will give you another key which enables you to lock the key on the key board. This ensures that no one else will be able to take the key away from the board to go into your room. I am quite impressed with this system. Our room has a double bed and TV.
