ok, you are off to new york, one of the worlds finest cities, and you "know" where to go and what to do and see? right? well, i suggest that many of you will risk missing perhaps one of new yorks most exciting visitor attractions in the stampede to see other landmarks - but in so doing you will miss out on a truly memorable visit to....the intrepid museum!!

Look, I am "not" usually the type of person to want to spend time at military sites etc - but this is different, it is a visitor attraction that transcends age and interest - everyone is moved by what they see - but above all just take time to think alone and try to imagine what it must have been like.
Best of all for tourists - the museum is conveniently located on west side and easily walkable from mid town.
Don't go to new york without promising to visit it.

Pretty good value if you do want to see all of the attractions above, I think it works out approximately half price. One thing to watch for though, is if you do have children there is a charge of £41 for 6-17 year olds, even though on some of the listed attractions without the city pass they would have got entrance for free. So if you are going as part of a family it might be worth checking how the prices stack up.
Also group discounts are on offer. If there are 10 or more of you the price per adult is $10. So it is almost worth loitering around outside to see if you can round up 10!!!

After we had been on the top for a while we made our way down to ground level to take the New York Skyride since this was apart of the New York CityPass that we bought. The Skyride is simulated flight around New York City and the whole thing was narrated by Kevin Bacon. I don't really think that it was worth the money and if you have been to larger amusement parks I'm sure that you have tried out better simulators.
