Modern Hotel, but not in the city centre. Advantages: Nice modern rooms and friendly staff Disadvantages: location is away from central Cagliari. Location The Holiday Inn Cagliari hotel is located close to the airport, on the outskirts of Cagliairi, therefore if you are planning to go be aware that the best way to get into the city centre is via a taxi (prices varied from 10-15 euro). Le Meridien Lingotto - Turin at its best Advantages: Fantastic period building but thoroughly modern facilities. Disadvantages: A public transport ride away from the centre of Turin. ...and a stay in the Le Meridien Lingotto and it's one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Converted from an old Fiat factory the building oozes period charm from the outside but has been thoroughly updated inside with fantastic quality fittings and interesting artwork including the original architectural submissions from 1984. This hotel is famous (infamous) for having maintained the original roof top test track that was used when it was busy manufacturing ... ...get a key from reception and take the lift to the roof and access the test track, where you can relive in your mind the sights of Minis tearing around as seen in the movie "The Italian Job". They actually encourage you to use it as a jogging track and indeed this roof top is listed in a list of the Top 100 places to jog in the world. A perfect guesthouse. Advantages: beautiful house and city. Disadvantages: none. Guest House Alex e Angie is a lovely guest house situated in the centre of Bergamo, Italy. A beautiful, small city just half an hour away from Milan nestled below the Alps. The guest house is on the top floor of an apartment block, just a two minute walk away from the city centre and its main square, Porta Nuova. The apartment block is behind very secure gates and even though it is in a city centre it is very quiet and peaceful. The apartment ... ...or stair access. The lift is rather small however there are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the top. The apartment is very clean and very is beautifully decorated. There is a large lounge and dining area on the first floor of the apartment with a balcony. There are also 3 guest rooms, 2 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. Fantastic hotel in Lake Garda, reasonable price and great staff Advantages: Friendly staff, clean rooms, good facilities Disadvantages: A little too far from town if walking, pool covered We booked this hotel fairly quickly on the internet one night, having not much time to research the options, but the facilities seemed decent for the price per night (around £100 per night for room and breakfast for two). We were not at all disappointed. The hotel is pretty from the outside and has a parking garage free for use by guests. There are bicycles available for hire, a ping pong table, a hot tub and sun loungers on the roof of the hotel. ... ...is that it has a roof over it. The sides are open, but swimming in the sun is not possible. Despite the 30oC heat while we were there, the pool remained too cold to be relaxing! There is also some gym equipment in the pool area. Breakfast was a buffet of fruits, cheese, ham, croissants, bread, cereals etc which was more than adequate. The room had a large bed, large balcony and there was a safe and fridge in the wardrobe. Nice hotel in Lido venice Advantages: central, private Disadvantages: no A well situated hotel in lido Venice, 5 minutes from the Boat station and 15 minutes to St.Mark´s Venice. Very close to the Beach and the Palazzo del Cinema, where the Film festival take place. The staff is very welcoming and pleasant, breakfast quite good, specially in summer in the private Garden.
