Advantages: Holiday satisfaction Disadvantages: Hardly any
...my family stayed at the Hotel Splendid Palace from 21/09/2008 to 28/09/2008 and happily ticked all the `smiley faces' when completing the hotel's questionaire before leaving at the end of our holiday. I stayed with my wife, in room 220 and I cannot praise the hotel staff enough for their efficiency and friendliness. From our balcony overlooking Lake Garda we were priviledged to enjoy stunning views of the mountains opposite and also Malcesine, just ... ...The steps from the Hotel down to the alley that leads to Limone are rather steep as is the hill when walking to and back from Limone, having said that ,my wife who is nearly 75 years of age and suffers with asthma, coped very well, using sufficient resting periods along the way and she thoroughly enjoyed everything.there was to see and do. We are widely travelled and hope to return again someday to Limone.and have no hesitation in recommending this ...

Advantages: Great facilities Disadvantages: A little expensive
We stayed at the Color Hotel in Bardolino, Lake Garda for our Honeymoon in September, the hotel isn't cheap to say the least none of the hotels around the lake are.
For such a special occasion we went for a suite (classed as an armonia suite on their own web site), booked through Thomson. We flew into Verona airport and after a 30 minutes transfer we were dropped off at the Bardolino bus terminal which is right next door to the hotel.
Check in ... ...swipe of card so that things can be charged to the room and that was it. One of the receptionists then took us up to room which was on the second floor overlooking the front of the hotel which includes a lovely fountain.
