We had booked flight only to Florida last year and JMC was the company we chose. I had never been abroad before let alone on a plane and, as you can imagine very nervous. To top things off i was six months pregnant and not looking forward to the seven hour flight.
When we arrived at Gatwick at around six thirty (am) we went straight over to check in. As we arrived at the check in desk a member of JMC staff informed us there was a problem with our plane and we had two choices, one to wait seven hours for the next plane or two fly out with an alternate airline. We opted for the Alternate airline and flew out to Florida with Monarch airlines.
After enjoying a fantastic holiday we made our way (reluctantly) to Sanfordairportready to fly home. There were no problems with the plane this time and were able to go on the right flight. It was not delayed which was a good thing, the only one i might add!
We made our way onto the plane and took our seats which were unbelievably tight to get into especially for me with my bump. I felt more sorry for my travelling companions as two are very tall and spent the best part of the journey with their kness around their ears.
The food when it came out was shocking, there were no options for vegetarians and did not seem enough to feed a family of mice. None of it had any taste, well not the taste that it should of had anyway.I really don't know how they can class those as dinners, they were more like snacks which were not good considering we were on there so long. My baby probably thought his umbilical cord had been cut!
The main problem with this flight was the temperature inside the plane. It was unbelievably hot, bearing in mind we had all just spent two weeks in Florida which was nothing compared to the heat of the plane. I asked repeatedly for them to turn the heating down or put some air conditioning on. I was not the only one this was bothering, quite a few others were also complaining but nothing was done. The staff were very rude and unhelpful. The first time i waddled down to the hostess' i was told 'but we are all fine, its not bothering us'. She then carried on with her crossword. I then asked another hostess and was told 'ok, i will get something done for you'; this never happened. I think this is outrageous as all passenegers were sweating and alot had very swollen ankles, i looked like a balloon what with being pregnant as well.
When we finally got off the plane one of my companions actually passed out due to the terrible conditions we all put up with. She is thankfully ok and after a rest was feeeling slightly better. Why should we or any other passengers have to put up with this? This flight put a real downer on what was an excellent holiday.
Not only is it the attitudes of the staff but the whole flight experience has put me off flying with JMC ever again. Its something i will never forget. It will be a long time before i ever step foot inside a plane again after this experience.

good op - perhaps they wanted to take your mind off the long flight

AHH!! I am due to fly with JMC airlines (for the first time) in August to Zante, Greece. Reading your opinion I am beginning to get worried about my flight! We have been told we are flying on the airbus a320, and at 6ft 2in i hope i can fit in the seats! Oh well, hopefully I will go to sleep and not notice the flight. We like you aew going on a 'late deal', and hopefully we won't have to endure the terrible seating position that you did! Very informative opinion, and watch this space for mine!

I flew with JMC to Lanzarote and the seats were definitely the most cramped I've yet encountered. The really laughable thing is that in the safety briefing they tell you how to do the brace position (head forward against the seat in front, hands on head) in the event of any trouble. As I'm 6'1" and not particularly into yoga it'd be quite a feat!
