Hotel Libertador in Lima , Peru

Advantages: Lovely staff - all very helpful
Disadvantages: too far from the interesting parts of Lima

course if you looked to the right, immediately in front was the Delphine Casino and we could just see dolphins in a pool behind the casino. There was a gym somewhere in the hotel but I'm afraid that was not of great interest to me as I was there to see Lima not to get fit!! I would perhaps have gone in a pool had there been one but had to content myself with looking at the dolphins in the casino pool opposite instead. My complaint with this hotel is that it is too far from Mira Flores or the old part of Lima. It was too far to walk and a taxi cost about 20 soles ( about £4.25). There was nothing nearby the hotel apart from the Country Club, Starbucks or the Casino so to buy water you had to go a log way. They did give you two free bottles in your room which was helpful and these were replaced daily however we needed more than this and so ...

Royal connections but not that luxurious -Durham Marriott hotel

Advantages: Comfortable, convenient for city sight seeing
Disadvantages: luke warm bath water and average food in restaurant

Durham Marriot Hotel Royal County Old Elvert, Durham DH1 3JN A BIT OF SCENE SETTING: This hotel is part of the Marriott chain but is an old hotel which was once the home of Elizabeth Bowes an ancestor of the Queen Mother. Apparently it was often visited when it was privately owned by Edward VII when he was up in Durham. It has had quite a large series of extensions and now boasts 150 bedrooms, some of which are suites and family rooms all and have en suite bathrooms ( As you might expect in a hotel I would have thought). This is a four star hotel right in the centre of Durham so perfect for a city break as you can park your car in the hotel (complimentary) car park and walk round the city which is very compact and just a hop over the road from the hotel. Marriott Hotel Peterborough

Advantages: Clean & very comfortable, good location, nice food
Disadvantages: None

We stayed at this Marriott Hotel in Peterborough for the night about a month ago now because we had been invited to a friends wedding there at the hotel. This hotel has 162 rooms and it is a 3 star hotel. The location is really tranquil and the hotel is surrounded by really nice pretty gardens and large green fields. We paid £90 for a double room and we got a discount for being guests at the wedding, i think breakfast is at a small extra cost but im not 100% sure so you would need to chack this. Its set within 11 acres or so of grounds adjacent to Peterborough's Main Business Park, we found this hotel really easy to find and very well signposted. We found the staff to be really friendly but extremely professional and helpful at all times. We got checked in really quickly and within 5 minuites we were in our room ...
