Jacobs Inn Is A Cracker

Advantages: close to transport links/city centre, cheap, friendly, clean
Disadvantages: Noise from other guests

...the older way to book Jacobs Inn online, but they now have a new website: www.jacobsinn.com upon which you can book. A 20% booking fee is applicable, payable when you book. The balance, payable in Euro, is required at check in. For any additional nights, you must pay before 11am to secure your room for that night. I booked online, and the confirmation was sent pretty much straight away. So thumbs up so far.

Still on the Dublin theme today, and seeing as I’ve told you where I dined on the Saturday night, today I’m going to share my accommodation experience with you all. Originally I had booked a Travelodge near Dublin airport, but after thinking we may end up spending more in taxi fares by ferrying back and forth into the city, we decided to look around for somewhere else. Considering all we wanted to do was basically lay our heads down for a few hours ...
...we were looking for accommodation. The idea of a hostel was recommended to us by a colleague at work who had previously stayed in a hostel in the Temple Bar area. The booking process was left down to a friend of mine and she managed to find Jacob’s Inn on a hostel website after doing a Google search. Booking was fairly simple, with basically choosing dates and room sizes, before being offered rooms depending on what the hostel had available. We ...

HALLELUIA there is room at the inn

Advantages: Affordable, comfortable, clean and well located
Disadvantages: Kitchen could use more utensils and knobs that work

...for their sister Hostel – Jacobs Inn – which was only IR£1.50 a night more and was just round the corner. So without a lot of options we trundled off over there and I found the best hostel I have ever stayed in! The entire place had a very new and modern feel and I instantly felt relaxed and at home… although that may have had something to do with ‘Yes we have room’ after worrying about what we were going to do that night! :) The building cnetrally ...
...and train stations. Everything is key card operated allowing for total security and there is even a lift to all floors! With all this and the lobby type construct of the entrance hall it felt a lot more like a hotel than a youth hostel! The rooms are spacious, comfortable and en-suite! The bathrooms are the nicest and cleanest I have encountered and the shower was the biggest I have ever had the pleasure of being in… and as most of you know after ...

Near the Liffey - Certainly not iffy!!

Advantages: Central Location, Cheap, Very Clean, Great Atmosphere, 24 hr reception
Disadvantages: You need to remember your reciept to get in after 11pm

during the day it wasn?t a problem really, even though on one trip, our window faced directly onto the bridge that takes the line beside the building. The Liffey River is just a minute away, and there are plenty of supermarkets close by. Busaras Station is also great for trips out of the city, as is the DART. *Cancellation Policy* For individuals, the cancellation policy is 24 hours. For groups, there is a non refundable first night payment required, and this cancellation must be made in writing 14 days before the arrival date of the group. *Isaac?s Group* This hostel is part of the Isaac?s Group, who also own Jacob?s Inn around the corner, also a great hostel. Isaac?s Hostel, 2-5 Frenchman?s Lane, Dublin 1 -Directions: From the airport, the Airlink Bus operated by Dublin Bus, will bring you to the central bus station ...
