Advantages: Breathtakingly beautiful Disadvantages: Watch out for the spices and water
A truly amazing experience...i travelled to Jaiselmer in November 2003, teh beauty of this place is dificult to describe in words...the desert is an amazing experience. The key to a good experience in India is to know where not to stay and what not to eat.....most people suffer froim bad experience because they stay is really cheap and dirty places. With the exchange rate we get for pounds you can stay like a king or queen in one of the good hotels ... ...feels like a placae and the service is amazing...you can get local guides and jeeps to take you around to the local villages where the people are amazingly hospitable and friendly.
The things to do are go on a desetr safari and stay in on eof the tents at night where you get food and entertainment. The local daners and singers give you an real feel for the desrt when you sit under the stars at night listening to sounds of the desert.
