A day at Dunn's
Review of Dunn's River Falls, Ocho Rios by tajo_dre

Advantages: Fun and relaxing
Disadvantages: Small children are not able to climb the falls

Dunn's river falls is one of my most favourite hot spot in Jamaica if I want a combination of fun and relaxation I can count on this location any time. THE LOCATION Dunns River falls is situated in one of Jamaica well know tourist area called OCHO RIOS, or just plain "OCHI" and "The North Coast" as we Jamaicans would referred to it, Ocho Rios is a nice place with a mixture of Tourism and Local life. The name Ocho Rios is Spanish meaning "eight ...
...a challenging climb, but your Dunn's River tour guides are excellent and will give you all the support and confidence you will need to accomplish this journey. If you wish to have your photos taken you could ask the guides to take them for you or you can have them professionally taken and purchase them at the photo shop when your journey is finish. I should have mentioned before that water shoes are required and are available for rent if you do not ... Read review

Could this be love?!?
Review of Dolphin Cove, Ocho Rios by Sophie-Kaia

Advantages: Excellent opportunity for those wild at heart/friendly helpful staff
Disadvantages: Expensive, especially with the tantalising merchanise !

I have done the dolphin "swim" programme at Ocho Rios twice now, and had the time of my life on both occasions. Previously, I had been to the man made resort in FL, where I swam along side one dolphin. It was lovely and alot of fun, but for those whole are looking for a real "experience" -Ocho rios is your place! I am not even very comfortable in water out of my depth, but was absolutely determined to do this. As it transpired, I was kept afloat ...
...(ie a kiss by the dolphin moment)-it can be, but is also left alone a bit for the traveler who wishes to go alone -- also, the staff are great at putting nervous people at ease -and at the end, you'll wonder why you were ever nervous at all! Also added is a glass bottom boat ride, a jungle trail and the opportunity to swim with sharks and rays in the price of the "swim with" ticket, so even though it is expensive - you now get a lot for your money ... Chill out or party and watch the amazing sunset
Review of Rick's Cafe, Negril by frankiecesca

Advantages: The sunset and the atmosphere
Disadvantages: Souvenirs and cabanas are expensive

I went to Rick's cafe in November as a passing stop when I was in Jamaica on a work trip. I thought it would be a good idea to stop by to see the place as I had heard lots about it! Where is it? Ricks cafe is located in Negril on West end road and is located on a cliff side spot so that visitors can enjoy food and drink by the sea. What is it? It is a cafe/bar type place that serves food, drink and also has a shop on site along with a small swimming ...
...main thing that Rick's cafe is famous for is its spectacular spot to enjoy the sunset. People come from all over the island whilst staying in Jamaica to enjoy a chilled out evening and enjoy the sunset so as you can imagine it has built up quite a reputation! The cafe also has a selection of sun loungers set up in one area where there the swimming pool is and there is also an area where a band sets up every night to play. Anything else? The place ... Review of Montego Bay Airport by indigo78

Advantages: Clean, Tidy
Disadvantages: Staff not very friendly

...travelling experience is landing at Montego Bay airport after a 9 hour flight. Yes i'm more than thankful to have my feet on the ground and to have finally reached my destination but i find the whole process of going through the airport a nightmare. You'd think i would have got use to it the amount of times i done it but last years visit was the worse. I flew out with my two small children , partner. my mum my brother, his girlfriend and little ...
...thing that hits you is the heat which is only expected as your coming from a cold country to a hot one. You have to walk what seems like miles to get to immagriation. Once we finally got there it was chaos. People everywhere there were no signs to show where you had to queue up. The queue was like a snake winding round and round everybody packed into one small room. To top it all there was no air conditioning. No seats so you had to stand up. It ... Read review

we be divin' mon
Review of Jamaica (Dive Sites) by dalg

Advantages: Warm clear waters
Disadvantages: jet lag when you return home

...of my recent trip to Jamaica was the diving. We were staying in just outside Ocho Rios, and prior to arrival, I had contacted Resort Divers by email to arrange some dives. The shop is based in the Island Plaza in Ocho Rios, and the dive centre itself is based in the Shaw Park Hotel. We booked a package of 10 dives for a reasonable $25 a dive. All the diving was from a boat, and not a crowded cattle truck of a boat either. Small groups, and plenty ...
...really nice, very scenic with lots of shoals of small fish all over the reefs. Among the fish I recognised, were puffer fish, barracuda, large lobsters, really large crabs, spider crabs and the biggest sea cucumbers I have ever seen!!! There is a small wreck in the Ocho Rios area which we also dived. The Kathryne is the wreck of a 150 foot long Canadian minesweeper. It is easily penetrated, and there are lots of large holes, so you are never totaly ... Read review
