A good budget Beaches property
Advantages: Good all inclusive package and right on beach - literally!
Disadvantages: Rooms bit small for families if in standard room type
...was this one - the Beaches Sandy Bay - we had a good look around and also had some lunch whilst there so I will advise my opinion on the hotel from my point of view.
What is Beaches:
First of all I will explain what the Beaches properties are. You may or may not have heard of the Sandals name which is an Ultra all inclusive chain of hotels in the Caribbean. By ultra all inclusive it means everything is thrown in including all service charges, food, ...
...the lowest end of the Beaches properties called Beaches Sandy Bay and is located in Negril in Jamaica.
First impressions:
As you pull up to the hotel you cannot miss the rather large sign outside that is the 'Beaches' logo - the main entrance looks quite nice with a large spacious area and high ceilings that the breeze can blow through from the pool and beach area. excellent hotel
Advantages: the staff
Disadvantages: nothing really
I stayed in the hotel with my boyfreind for 2 weeks in august and we had an amazing time, the staff cant do enough for you and they really do make your holiday. the hotel itself is pretty basic but we had lovely rooms all of the facilities were clean and there was plenty to do. the food was very good, i was slightly apprehensiv when we booked it as the food was buffet style but it was dlicious and we never ate the same thing twice, evry night of ...
...the barbeque on the beach was definatly one of the best nights. there are plenty of activities if you want to do them from kayak racing to cooking classes. We are going back agan next year and cant wait to see the staf again they really made our holiday special ...

More than a 3 Star!
Advantages: Excellent value for money and will keep the kids entertained
Disadvantages: Not for anyone wanting a quiet holiday
I stayed at this 3 star hotel with my boyfriend last summer. We booked on a late deal three weeks before and got 14 nights all inclusive for £620 each which we thought was a complete bargain!
We weren't wrong! I'll start with the food, firstly there is the buffet restaurant which is free with table service for drinks and serves; * breakfast (complete with omelette chefs to cook them how you like it) which has traditional Jamaican, cold and hot food.

...which offers hot and cold options to suit all tastes and changes daily.
* afternoon tea consisting of finger sandwiches, cake and drinks
* dinner, again hot and cold options, a good selection of deserts, Jamaican specialities and theme nights such as Mexican, Chinese, Japanese etc.
There is a beach grill which serves burgers, hot dogs etc all day and is a reservation only Jamaican restaurant by night, again this is free.

You Must Try It!
Advantages: All-Inclusive, Food, Drinks, Ammenities
Disadvantages: Bus Ride From Airpot.
AWESOME! This was my first trip to Jamaica, and all I can say is that is was great.
The staff was awesome, and are all VERY nice and will help you with ANYTHING you need.
The All-Inclusive part of the stay was also a first for me, and I have nothing bad to say about it. The food was great no matter where we ate, and the premium drinks were well done.
If you are going to Jamaica and have kids, this is the place to go, with 3 pools, slides, Xbox ...
...wrong.
The people who work there are not only very helpful, but are very efficient as well.
MUST go at least once!
OK now some info:
The rooms were spacious, and clean. 2 double beds that were pretty comfortable and we slept well. The couch had a pull out bed so one of us could sleep on it. We als had a mini fridge that was stocked every day, and all items in it were included, no extra fees. We had a patio right off our room, and we were supplied ...

Couples Sans Souci, Jamaica - SUPERB
Advantages: Top quality in all areas
Disadvantages: None that I could see
I have worked in the travel trade for over 20 years now and I have to say this was one of my favourate hotels ever. It is 5* and deserves every star it has. It is by no means a cheap property, infact I wouldn't even say it was a reasonable price. You get exactly what you pay for on this one. You pay top notch prices and get top notch service. ...rooms have a view but some are garden views. The gourmet restaurant was very good if that is what you like. The presentation of the food was excellent (I don't even think Gordon Ramsey could complain !!) You can also eat on the beach privately if you want. There is also a resturant by the pool and a beach bar that does food as well as drink. (NOTE THIS IS AN ALL INCLUSIVE PROPERTY, so don't forget that when you get a price for it.)
