Crowne Plaza St James - A Great London Hotel Happy to See You

Advantages: Great Location. Excellent standard of service. Relatively good value for London.
Disadvantages: No Pool. That's about it!

and will not need reminding of them here. That said, the hotel is in comfortable walking distance of the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye & County Hall attractions, the South Bank, Horse Guards Parade, Downing Street, the Cabinet War Rooms, the Tate Modern, Buckingham Palace, the Mall and Trafalgar Square. St James?s Park and Hyde Park are close by as well. VERDICT We had a lovely, albeit brief, time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were courteous, attentive and professional. The room was of an excellent standard and the facilities we used were clean an well maintained. As such, I would heartily recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a relatively high standard of overnight accommodation without breaking the bank. Footnote: As I did not pay for the room itself, I didn?t feel it ...

A Great Hotel in London, Pictures added to the Review

Advantages: Centrally located with easy access to local tube stations, quiet area during the weekends
Disadvantages: Building work taking place in the area, busy during the weekdays, Not many views of the area.

Introduction This hotel is located in Moorgate, Liverpool Street or in layman terms it is in East London. The hotel is highly attractive on the outside. The transport system of London allowed me to get to Moorgate station in one hour on the Metropolitan line network. The streets here are really interesting because of the bars and coffee lounges. At Liverpool Street one difficulty I had was finding the correct exit to find the hotel. About the Hotel This hotel has 89 luxurious rooms as well as a restaurant and a bar area. The hotel also has free internet services as well as free local telephone calls. The hotel is located within close proximity to two main railway stations as well as three tube stations. The stations nearby include London City Airport, the o2 and Excel on the Docklands light railway, Kings Cross St ...

Review of Apex London Wall Hotel, London

Alton House Hotel

Advantages: Posh hotel, it looks nice, but...
Disadvantages: The staff

I went to stay here in 2006, I think. For my sisters wedding. It was a nice hotel, the architecture inside I knew wasn't real, but it was meant to look posh. Which it did, but only in one room... the reception. So, I stayed here for two days and one night. I didn't sleep on a proper bed, because the room was full in which I was sleeping in (Since its a wedding and all). So in the corner of the room, I had to sleep on a horrible, tiny, lumpy bed. Which can be folded again into a bag. Of course, I can't blame the hotel for the poor bed, because this was my own fault. I'm sure that if there weren't so many people I could of slept on the double bed, which is better. So, in the early days, considering to be the 1800's - Alton House Hotel used to be a house. Not a hotel. Rich people used to live in this house. It was only in the 1940's that ...
