- Introduction - I've been with my parents on a number of holidays that were booked through James Villas and so I feel I am quite familiar with the company, certainly in terms of the type of holidays you get through them anyway. A long time a go we toyed with the idea of going away and booking a private villa, but decided it was probably going to be too expensive. Then one rainy summer’s afternoon, some surfing brought up James Villas website. We put in a few figures and realised that for 4 people, we could have a very nice villa in October for less than £350 each. After chatting with some friends we decided to bite the bullet and book. Oh, it's that time of year again, when most of us sit day dreaming thinking of faraway places. Well to be honest, I daydream all the time. I actually work for a travel company who specialise in boating holiday in the UK, but whilst I appreciate they like this type of thing, my choice is somewhere much warmer. James Villas had a strong advertising campaign over the last 2 years and, after a very happy holiday with them to Mallorca in 2004, we decided to book a week in Tuscany for the end of August 2008. The website is very informative and we decided on our accommodation - Villa Podere Il Renaio in Legoli. A helpful section of the website allows you to check availability and prices for the week you want and weeks either side and so we were sorted. Actually, no! I know flights from Newcastle to Pisa were available with Jet2 (I had checked the prices on Jet2 website) but the James Villas website ... more
