We wanted to go somewhere warmer than the UK in February 2004, so we decided to go to Cyprus.
There was a special offer on Queens Paradise 6, so we chose this one. The online photo was cleverly shot so that the rest of the villas in the development did not look as close as they were. Alright, these WERE detached villas, but they were not really very far apart from each other.
Also, from the description and photo it was not obvious that the pool was in the front garden of the villa. Definitely a deterrent against me going into it.
These villas are only a few years old, but they are not particularly well maintained. Actually, from experience, this seems to be a failing of a lot of villa holiday companies. Quite often the villas being let out are fairly new, but they are not adequately inspected to ensure everything is in tip-top order.
Villa holidays are touted as 'home from home'. None of the villas I have stayed in are as well maintained as I would expect anyone's home to be!
It may only be little things, like the fixings for the showers and towel rails being loose or no longer fixed to the wall at all, but it should be simple enough to have someone fix these niggling things as soon as they occur so that these niggles are not there to impair peoples' enjoyment of staying in the villas.
The situation of these villas is well described in the 'blurb' on the James Villa internet site. They are just behind the main street of Coral Bay, and within a short walk of both of the bays in Coral Bay. You don't need a hire car, unless, like us, you want to explore more of Cyprus.

We were at the Mimosa earlier this year and stayed at The Mimosa. I hated it. Maybe should have stayed here. Desiree x
