Disadvantages: Big hill to climb,

I have just spent a week at the Jason Hotel in Ipsos Corfu. There is one other review for this hotel but as it is over a year old I thought i would write to update the hotel as things can change from year to year. On arrival to the hotel first impression was good from the outside, up a very steep hill lined with lemon trees Jason hotel has a square swimming pool and a out side pool bar. We checked in very early and was greeted by a night receptionist who gave us our keys and directed us to our floor. Jason has a lift to floors but it was broken for our week, this could prove difficult if you are elderly and need lifts to the 2 floors above. Plaka Hotel, Athens

Advantages: Position, Price
Disadvantages: Basic (but plentiful) breakfast

The Plaka Hotel is a real find. It is ideally situated at the foot of the Acropolis and is amongst ,or within easy walking distance, of many of Athens attractions. It is on the corner of a small side street just a hundred yards or so from the metro station that is at the end of the line from the airport. Some bedrooms do have a direct view to the Acropolis. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the accomodation is generally clean and modern. Our room was quite small but not so much that it was a problem. There was an adequate amount of storage space. The bathroom was small and a bit dated but ok, considering the price! We paid £33 a night for a double room with breakfast and thought this was a real bargain. Make sure you compare sites for prices as they vary considerably. Disadvantages: The steep hill up to it

We spent 10 days here! as we are the only reveiw of 2008, i only thought it was right to update! we stayed at Hotel Jason on August 22nd to sept 2nd 2008, on first arrival! as it was raining in England, the heat when we got out of the plane was enough to knock you over at 5.30pm, after the short transfer from the Airport to Jason, on booking in, we got our room keys! 2 adults, 3 children age13,7, 7, they expected us to sleep in two differnt rooms, i complained and they did move us all together the next day!! a fully air con room, but you have to pay extra for the air con to work, all got bitten by mos's first few night as it was hot!! 30+ day 20 odd at night. the pool was good! as we met another couple with 3 kids simular age's so they sort of entertained themselves, 20m long 8 m wide good depth and clean, plenty of sun loungers, pool ...
