Advantages: The City that never sleeps, it has everything! Disadvantages: Very little, having time to fit everything in
...would give over to shopping, go to all the big department stores, and my favourite, Moddells, a great sports shop that has everything you could wish for if you're a sports fan. There also a few nice shops down by the Brooklyn bridge and you can also get great views of it down from the piers.
You're final day you should dedicate to exploring the less famous sites of NewYork, or just wandering around, the Staten Island ferry is a great way to see the Statue of Liberty, and going off Manhattan Island can also offer it's treats, I loved Long Island and it can feel like a world away from the hustle and bustle. Taking the Long Island Rail Road down to Port Jefferson will take a couple of hours but you will find yourself in a beautiful port town with some really nice seafood restaurants.
For eating, almost anywhere will do, New York offers...

Advantages: A lot to see & do, has something to offer for everyone Disadvantages: Too much to see and do, can be exhausting, expensive hotels

We flew Continental from Amsterdam to Newark Liberty Airport and from there we went to my sister in Ohio. On July 5th Nikki and I moved on to New York City.
Arriving in New York City
On July 5th we checked in at Columbus airport and got ready to take the flight from Columbus to Newark. Due to safety rules you have to leave your luggage unlocked now in case they need to inspect it.

Postmodernism, eh? It's a funny old bag of fish. Even the holier-than-thou critics don't quite seem to know what it's all about. They argue whether it's
a) a revolt against modernism,
b) a progression of modernism,
c) both of these and more
or d) more
