The pub plays more on the darker side of the story, but everything is normal on the outside. Jekyll and Hyde’s is located a short walk from Princes Avenue, at 112 Hanover Street. The front is not too flashy and a single door leads inside.
The pub can be split into four parts. 1. The bar and Balcony

Advantages: great, erie atmoshpere Disadvantages: always packed by 9 pm
...pub in Edinburgh is the Jekyll and Hyde. It's quite central for one, you can walk there easily from Princes Street. The whole place is decorated with old books, medical instruments, bones and more, and of course all the stuff is supposed to have belonged to Dr. Jekyll himself.
In any case, the atmosphere is great, you can sit up on a little balcony or even go down to a vault-like part. Among the things I'd recommend you try is any one of the cocktails ... ...want a whole pitcher, go for a smaller quantity served in a test-tube. The Nachos are also great, you get a pile of them for not too much money. All in all, this place is a must-see and you'll discover new things every time you go. As for discovering the hidden toilet - well, I won't help you with this one. Just watch how the others do it. ...

...what is essentially a Dr Jekyll museum.
Well recommended. This has to be my most favourite pub in the UK. If I lived in Edinburgh I wouldn't be out of this place. It won't appeal to everyone but tough. It appeals to like minded people so that makes it absolutely perfect. ...

Advantages: Beautiful views, beautiful park Disadvantages:
...I recently walked past Hyde park at about 10:00pm, and was reminded of what a truly beautiful place it is. What makes it so special I think is its position - it is smack bang in the middle of the nicest area in London - right next to the Albert Hall (and the beautiful Albert Memorial), with views stretching to Parliament and the Hilton. It is also beautifully manicured and all the paths are perfectly smooth - a skater's dream. And, what's more, it's free - you don't have to pay any entrance fee or toll to get in, you just stroll through the gates and there you are.
If you're in the area, check it out....

Advantages: Depending on your luck, a level of service that would make business class folk envious. Disadvantages: Depending on your ill-luck, atrocious service that would even embarass a rude Chinatown restaurant.
...While on a trip from the UK to Singapore recently, I had both the fortune and displeasure of first-hand experience with KLM's rumoured two-faced in-flight service.
The outward flight was a godsend, the stuff travellers can only dream about in economy class. Service was tip-top, attendants lived up to their name and then some, while the food was - oddly enough - decent enough to tempt me into asking for seconds.
Thinking that I would enjoy the same delights coming back from Singapore, such was the contrast that I could hardly have been more off-target. Service? What service? Attendants spent half their time chatting up Dutch blokes, hot food was tossed onto my palms, and a request for ice with my Coke still hasn't been met.
I've been warned about KLM's propensity for Jekyll & Hyde in-flight service, hopefully this short missive...

Advantages: Good food and atmosphere by day - cocktails and music at night Disadvantages: Gets very busy
...The Cock & Camel in Oxford is something of a Jekyll & Hyde pub. By day it is a lively pub serving good food and a range of beers. It's a good place to sit on a sofa and read a newspaper whilst you watch the tourists walk by or to meet up with friends for a chat. By night it turns into an exciting bar serving cocktails and with a downstairs "alternative bar" playing good music to dance to.
The food is fairly inexpensive and there's always something slightly different on the menu - warm goats cheese salad last time I was there. My fiance had the burger and only just managed to finish the mountain of chips which accompanied the huge burger complete with "all the trimmings" (salad, cheese, chili, relish etc). I had mushroom stroganoff which was gorgeous - and again a very large serving on a massive plate.
The pub is situated...

The Strange Case Of Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde was first published in 1886, and is surprisingly short for such an acclaimed book - it has only 88 pages! I read it in school as part of my English Literature coursework and I was expecting it to be pretty good - more
