If you fancy an opera with a BIG difference and you don't mind swearing and rude gestures...well this is the one to go and see!
Jerry Springer the Opera is truly one of a kind, it's is usually priced at £50.00 a ticket, but I recommend that you check out your local ticket master or if you live in London, check out the metro website or thisislondon.com for half price tickets that are occasionally on offer.
Jerry tackles the issues that you see on television everyday and transfers them into musical madness with operatic tussles between hillbillies and transsexuals!! The cast are fantastic singing out verses from 'Nipple sucking cousin f**ker' to 'talk to the a** cos the face ain't listening' and Jerry keeps coming out with the classics of 'You seem upset' at the right moments whilst taclking with the Devil who keeps appearing on the stage trying to take Jerry's place in the spotlight.
The show is in two parts which will give you a breather from all the profanties and a chance to get a drink to calm you down or get you more in the moon if the first half shocks you a little.
Trust me though, what more can I say, if you love Jerry, you'll love this and it's worth the money too!! It is still showing at the Cambridge theatre now so get your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
