I have recently come back off my holiday to Jersey. I flew from Birmingham airport and within 40 minutes i arrived in Jersey! We stayed in St Helier at La Bonne Vie Guest House. The whole of the island is breath takingly beautiful! One of the best ways to see it is by bike! Cycle routes are marked out and many of the roads are 15 mph so it is just perfect. Hiring a bike costs about £8 a day and is well worth it! We visited Elizabeth castle and Gorey castle both of which are well worth a look. St Helier is a brilliant place to shop. Many of the retail outlets offer VAT free prices so you can designer sunglasses, watches and pefume much cheaperb than at home. Eating out is alos a pleasure is ST Helier with a vast range of resturants. You can sample local culinary food, eat Italian,French,Chinese you name it they have got it. There are also clubs and pubs around so the nightlife is good. Jersery is a beautiful island ,weather is pleasent and the island has a French ambience about it. I definately recommend a visit.
