Jet2 are a fairly new uk airline but are a subsiduary of Channel express in France (please remember this if your travelling to France). They currently fly from Leeds Bradford airport and more recently from Manchester.
They have an ever growing list of destinations which include Malaga, Alicante, Murcia, Prague, Paris, Geneva etc etc.
Their web site is the easiest to use if your looking for a cheap flight when you go on their home page click on the low fare finder icon- this takes you to a small click box survey (only about 6 clicks) and you will be able to view the cheapest fare on any day in your chosen month- Fantastic i've had so many cheap return flights i can't list them all here but the best i got was 3 adult returns to spain for a week total cost including all taxes was £134 for 3 of us!
The airports used by jet2 vary enormously and i can recommend anyone to use the smaller uk airports over the bigger ones anytime- less crowds, friendlier, less stressed staff, parking usually closer to terminal- you may not have all the facilities of the bigger airports but the services and shops etc are all you need.
The planes are usually 737 type aircraft, and offer leather seats with 3/3 seating .Staff have always been friendly and helpful (except in Paris where there were no Jet2 staff but if you track down Channel express staff you should be ok) ) and snacks are not excessively overpriced.
You may also be interested to know that Jet2 has a very generous baggage allowance some 5-10 kg more than some other airlines so you'll have plenty of allowance for the straw donkeys and sangria.
one final note i have taken over a dozen flights with Jet2 in the past year and have never yet(touch wood) been delayed
overall i will continue to use jet2 as my preffered carrier and do not hesitate in recommending anyone else to do the same.

Advantages: Cheap flights! Isn't that why we fly with them after all? Disadvantages: All the extra charges, however even after paying for hold luggage it's still cheap.
