I have been flying with Jet2 for about 2 years now, as I'm quite a regular flyer I am always quite aware of prices/offers etc.
Jet2 offers the convenience of flying from Leeds Bradford and Manchester to popular destinations, such as Barcelona, Prague, Paris...
Customer service is of a higher quality than other low-cost airlines, you do get allocated seats.
However, there are some disadvantages:
-Baggage allowance is only 18Kg and they will charge you if you go over.
-Offers tend to be provided for one way whilst the way back is really expensive. Therefore the return ticket will cost you as much, if not more than BA. However, you do have the convenience of a local airport.
-The level of cleanliness inside the plane is far from desirable.
The advantages I find flying with them are:
-Allocated seats.
-Local UK airport flying to major city airports (not mini-airports miles away from the destination)
-Low fare finder for a whole month, if you are flexible you can still find some acceptable prices thanks to this search tool in their website.
I would recommend if you want to fly from a local airport, but do watch out for their prices and don't expect great cleanliness.
