Advantages: Amazing prices, Fast & Efficient, A pleasure to fly! Disadvantages: Tacky TV (a pro in my book!), limited (but growing) routes
...If you're thinking about travelling any distance in the United States, my advice to you would be to fly.
And if you're thinking about flying in the United States, my advice would be to fly JetBlue!
Not exactly a house-hold name in the UK, JetBlue is a rising star in the USA (and in my opinion, they deserve to go stratospheric!)
They're a Budget Airline, operating a growing number of routes across continental US. I've flown with them six times (from NYC to Denver and back (twice), and from NYC to Buffalo & back) On every occasion, the planes departed promptly and four out of the six times, I had landed, collected my baggage AND was halfway out the airport BEFORE the scheduled landing time.

Advantages: New Planes, Seat-Back TV, Good Service Disadvantages: Can be expensive if not booked well in advance

Because we had no idea of where we were going to be from one day to the next we had to make our flight reservations normally the day before taking off.
Therein lay the problem. We had planned for the sort of prices we could be expecting to pay for flights before leaving the UK, but forgot to take 2 things into account (which I’ll come onto...
