On my flight from Kathmandu to Delhi in November last year I got into big trouble due to the misbehavior of Jet Airways:
Returning from a hiking trip in Nepal I had to take a flight from Kathmandu to Delhi to catch the connecting flight in Delhi to Munich. After having checking in and having passed the passport control a Jet Airways Manager contacted me telling that the flight to Delhi would be delayed and that I therefore won't be able to catch my connecting flight. Instead I should wait an additional day in Kathmandu in hotel provided by Jet Airways and take the same flight + connection flight the next day. Unfortunately I agreed.
In the hotel another Jet Airways manager told me that the connection flight would not go the next day but three days later. Why didn't they he tell me before? After a long discussion, he told me about a possibility to fly to Munich the next day via India. For that I had to go to the Indian embassy the next day and get a transfer visa there. After having got the visa and back to the hotel, he now told me that also that possibility had gone. Again a wrong information! The only possibility then was waiting the two additional days. I got the visa for nothing and no refund for the visa fees! Jet Airways manager told me to buy a new flight (on my own costs) to leave immediately. Unfortunately I believed that guy again paying 570 euros for that flight.
I'm still waiting for a refund from Jet Airways. In my opinion they offloaded my from the first flight due to overbooking without telling me the truth and without even offering a compensation to me. Moreover, I had to buy an additional flight back.
