Advantages: Great Service, the View Disadvantages: None really
...My fiancee and I stayed for 3 nights at the Grand Hyatt in Shanghai at the begining of August.
It was fantastic! We were met at Pudong Airport ( which is so modern and efficient) by a new Buick, then taken to the Hotel. That took 45 mins.
The luggage was taken on the ground floor, and as we had a Grand Club room, our check-in was on the 83rd Floor.
Our room was on the 80th floor, and the view was amazing! We had a corner room, and views of the Bund and Pudong. The attention to detail was everywhere, and the double sided entry to the robe is a great idea.
The Grand Club Lounge serves Breakfast, Afternoon Tea and Cocktails included in the room rate, which for us was $228US a night, plus 15% service charge.
We used several of the F&B venues in the hotel- the cafe on the 54th floor, which had good food, but slow service; Club Jin Mao...

Advantages: Nice place to relax yet in the city, great place to shop for branded goods Disadvantages: better if the people there are more friendly
...that the bund is most enjoyable viewing it on the cruise especially at night. With the cool breeze. (I went in october so it was quite chilly) Every angle of the bund is worth taking picture of. Take your time enjoying the scene as the cruise will pass by the bund twice on its return trip.
Another way to enjoy the scene in this place is to go to The Oriental Pearl Tower. But personally I feel that its a bit too time consuming to view the bund going up the tower as I waited around an hour just to reach the peak and another hour just to leave the building. Its too pack with tourist but the view from the top is really amazing.
The whole place will be even more meaningful for those who likes cantonese series and has watched this particular movie series entitled "Shanghai Bund" which is about triad members in prewar Shanghai and their struggle...

Advantages: A total contrast to western life, marvelous culture Disadvantages: Not yet used to tourists, can be little English spoken, baffling Chinese characters so almost impossible to use buses
...into a thin french crepe shape. Usually shops will let you taste a small amount to persuade you to buy.
Places to see
All these are within 10 minutes of underground stations
The Shanghai Museum – atifacts so delicate and beautiful you wont believe. Chinese history in a nutshell. Not to be missed.
Shanghai Exhibition Centre – this doubles as a conference centre and a permanent history of Shangahi. Very interesting, has a model of the city about 60 long by about 40 wide !
Jin Mao Tower – is across from the Pearl TV tower ( which is probably the most recognisable building in the city with its twin purple observation globes ). This is the tallest building in China and the highest hotel lobby atrium in the world. You can look down through 56 floors from the observation deck to the Grand Hyatt below. Not for those with vertigo though...

I've been a fan of 2D fighters ever since street fighter 2 hit the gaming world on the mega drive so i knew i had to try it out on my PSP. Darkstalkers has a much faster pace than your average Street Fighter game, and the characters are much stranger and more
