Having seen the trailers for Run fatBoy Run on television I decided to see it at the cinema on release and subsequently purchased the DVD when it came out in February. The film is fantastic and anybody who has seen and enjoyed Shaun of the Dead and particularly Hot Fuzz is sure to love this! Primarily a romantic comedy the film is very funny and is sure to be a hit with all of the family. The script is excellent and the acting by notable cast members of high standard.

Simon Pegg stars as the main character in this film 'Run FatBoy Run'. I have liked some of the films he has been in before including 'Hot Fuzz' and 'Shaun Of The Dead', so I thought I would give this film a go.
Run FatBoy Run begins with the main character Dennis Doyle (Simon Pegg) running from his wedding to his pregnant fiance Libby Odell (Thandie Newton). A few years later though he is definitely regretting his decision. He luckily has been allowed to still see his son Jake (Matthew Fenton), but picking him up from his Mum's makes him realise what he is missing out. He isn't the best Dad and tends to turn up late to pick his son up.

The Story:
Dennis is a store security Man, who left his pregnant fiancé at the alter on their wedding day, and has regretted it ever since, over the years their son grows and he is allowed visiting rights, But when Dennis sees his ex fiancé Libby meeting a new man, things start to change.
He wants to prove himself that he is a changed man, and that he could be the man she wanted all those years ago.
The new man in the scene is Whit - A top business man who likes to run marathons for charity, and Dennis feels threatened a bit, So Dennis Gives him self a goal to complete a marathon to show he was determined to prove himself to Libby.
