Jurys Clifton Ford and Health Club, London

Jurys clifton Ford Hotel is a good 4* hotel. Part of the Jurysdoyle group. There is a website which has some information about the hotel at www.jurysdoyle.com.

I stayed there in an Executive room for 4 days whilst in London on Business. The hotel was booked through an online discounter (laterooms.com). I managed to obtain an executive room and pay for a standard at a discounted £80 per night for Bed & Breakfast.

The Staff were professional and helpful. Perhaps a little too professional and not warm enough.All of the public areas are furnished to a high standard and spotless

The Airconditioning was quiet and unobtrusive. The ensuite bathroom was immaculate with marble sink and bath and power shower.

The Restaurant food served extremely good food, I understand that it has won AA awards, I can see why. It was not particularly expensive and the desserts were excellent. Breakfast was a substantial with good quality ingredients. The real problem was stopping oneself eating too much...Bar prices were actually quite reasonable although there are other much more reasonably priced hostelries in walking distance of the hotel....

I used the Leisure facilities every morning. The hotel has a nice sized pool with a Jacuzzi and a well equipped gym, I still managed to gain half a stone in weight. The Leisure facilities are modern and spotlessly clean.

The Clifton Ford is a precise machine in that it aims to deliver certain things which it delivers with precision unfortunately whilst being a very modern, well equipped and well located hotel it didn't really have any ambience. It was great as a place to stay whilst on business had I been there on holiday I would perhaps have been disappointed.
